Jukes: Centurions are still united

Leigh will bid to complete a notable double over St Helens when they visit the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday.

The Centurions defeated Saints 24-16 at Leigh Sports Village back in February, but they have lost their last five matches and crashed out of the Challenge Cup against Hull KR last Saturday.

Leigh boss Neil Jukes says despite the run his team remain united.

“There is no divide – they are solid together and still in a good place,” Jukes told the Leigh Journal.

“They understand the reality we haven’t won many games in the last month or so. But I haven’t seen anything that is making me nervous or underlying issues.

“There is always scope to bring people in but we need to be sensible with it. I don’t think it is a one or two player thing that will solve us at the moment.

“It is something collectively as a group we need to get confidence back and play at a level we have played at before and where we know we can play at again.”
