The RFL have confirmed that Josh Griffin of Salford has been hit with a one-game ban.

Griffin pleaded guilty to an offence of Grade A punching in front of an independent disciplinary tribunal, and was also fined £300.

The incident occurred in last weekend’s fixture with Widnes Vikings. Widnes skipper Kevin Brown was also charged for his part in the same incident.

Brown submitted an Early Guilty Plea (EGP) to a charge of Grade A punching, and has forfeited the right to submit an EGP for 12 months as a result.
