Joseph rewarded with Bulls deal

Phil Joseph has been rewarded for his hard work during a trial spell at Bradford with a one-year deal for 2012.

Joseph, 27, set out to achieve his ambition of playing in Super League again by going on trial in a full time environment, having played in the Championships for Halifax and Swinton in recent years.

He said: “I’m absolutely over the moon.  I’ve worked really hard to get to this level and I’m just really happy. I’m very proud and honoured to be at Bradford. It’s a great club and this is the biggest achievement in my life.”

The Welsh international has spent much of his career at hooker or loose forward, but is likely to line up at prop for Mick Potter’s side.

Potter said: “Phil has done really well in pre-season and his fitness is improving all the time.  He’s come from playing part-time so he’s like a new young guy coming into the squad and is very enthusiastic and wants to do well and improve all the time. He’s in his mid-twenties but he’s very driven and I’m looking forward to seeing how he progresses throughout the year.”
