Joseph rejoins Bradford

Prop Phil Joseph has signed a two-year deal with the Bradford Bulls.

Joseph, who spent a season with the Bulls in 2012, is returning to the Provident Stadium.

The forward has made close to a century of Super League appearances for Huddersfield Giants, Widnes Vikings and Salford Red Devils.

Huddersfield-born Joseph has also played for Swinton Lions, Hull KR, Halifax and Oldham during his 13-year career.

The current Wales international and vice-captain only made six appearances during his first spell with the Bulls four seasons ago and feels like he has unfinished business at the club.

Bradford Bulls is a massive club and it’s a privilege to play for a club like this and I just want to get them back to where they belong,” Joseph said.

“Maybe bring some younger players through as well and give them some of my experience and nurture them.

“It’s a fantastic feeling to be back and I’m looking forward to starting and getting in with the boys. There’s definitely unfinished business here.

“I’ve had some long talks with Rohan and his aspirations are to get Bradford back to where they belong and I believe he is assembling a good group of players.”

Bradford coach Rohan Smith said: :One of the most pleasing things about Phil is that he really wants to improve and play more game time and he feels like he’s got his best footie ahead of him.

“I’m looking forward to helping him with that and giving him the opportunity to show everything he’s got.

“When I chatted with Phil it was clear the Bulls meant a lot to him and he was very eager to get back here again.

“That’s what we want to create; people who really want to play for the brand, the club and the community and the city, and we want to grow something really special here.”
