Wakefield back Ben Jones-Bishop has praised the team spirit at his club since Chris Chester’s arrival as coach.

The 27-year-old has also praised youngsters Max Jowitt and Tom Johnstone, with whom Jones-Bishop has made up the Wildcats’ back three in recent times.

“There’s a great team spirit, the boys are really working hard for one another and in the recent run of games we’ve seen the rewards of that,” the player told his club’s official website.

“The camp’s very positive, spirits are high and although he result wasn’t the best in the last outing, we’re looking forward to kicking on and improving on that for this week.

“Max and Tom are obviously very young and very talented, and me being sort of the older head of the back three has been really exciting.

“I’m just trying to help them out and it’s good to see them step up, it looks like they’ve been playing in the team for years and it’s really good to be a part of that.”
