John Duffy unhappy with Featherstone players

Featherstone coach John Duffy was disappointed with the performances of several players as they scraped past Doncaster in the Challenge Cup.

Rovers were forced to come from behind to see off Betfred League 1 leaders Doncaster 26-16 at the Keepmoat Stadium in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup fifth round.

And the Featherstone boss praised the Dons on their display, but revealed his players can expect a ‘tough week’ in training.

He said: “Doncaster played really well and deserve a great deal of credit.

“They are well coached and would easily fit into the Championship, given the way they are currently playing.

“With all that in mind, we had to be on the money but were nowhere near it.

“We spoke about our attitude and not letting standards drop – but the messages clearly didn’t go in.

“I will be making several changes and we will be having a tough week in training.”
