Hull KR captain Joel Tomkins has been banned for two games, with an extra match for a “frivolous challenge” to his charge for punching.
The 32-year-old was given a one-match ban for Grade A punching in Rovers’ loss to London on Sunday.
Tomkins challenged the grading but was deemed a “frivolous challenge” by the Rugby Football League, resulting in an extra game ban and a £500 fine as well as an additional £500 forfeit for appealing the suspension.
He will miss Hull KR’s final game of the season against Salford on Friday and a pre-season game in 2020.
Elsewhere, Halifax’s Brandon Moore pleaded guilty to a Grade D charge of questioning the integrity of a match official and has received a four-match suspension and a £250 fine.
