Joe Philbin’s new business Gripz gets off to a flying start

Warrington star Joe Philbin launched new business venture Gripz in lockdown – and it is proving popular in the sporting world.

The Great Britain and Ireland international teamed up with his good mate Jack Hodgkiss to launch Gripz – and they sold out of 200 pairs of compression socks in just 48 hours of them going live.

The compression socks were worn by a number of celebrities in Soccer Aid this year, with the likes of Olly Murs, Chelcee Grimes and Danny Jones donning the socks.

Gripz have more compression socks now in stock and are donating 20% of every order from their next drop to Mind charity.

Philbin said: “We’ve been blown away by how much support we’ve got so far.

“The rugby league community has gotten right behind the brand but other sports have put their faith in us too, and we are very grateful for all the support we’ve received so far.

“When we started the Gripz journey, me and Jack always said we would like to give something back to the community, so raising money for Mind is just a small gesture from us.

“We are donating 20% from our next drop to Mind seeing as September is suicide awareness month. A small gesture can make a big difference.”
