Catalans winger Jodie Broughton has been ruled out for the long run after suffering a bicep tendon rupture last week.

The 31-year-old had only just returned from an ACL injury but suffered another injury setback last Saturday in a reserves game at Albi by picking up a bicep tendon rupture.

Broughton has undergone surgery in Perpignan and he could be out for three to four months, depending on how it heals.

On his injury, Broughton said: “Nightmare of a year again.

“Two games back from an ACL reconstruction and I’ve ruptured my bicep.

“Operation went well, and I hope to be back mid-season scoring tries. Thanks to Catalans Dragons for their continued support.”
