Jimmy Keinhorst: Our attitude shone through in Leeds win

Jimmy Keinhorst admits Hull KR’s attitude shone through as they gave their survival hopes a massive boost with victory away at Leeds.

The Robins, who were humbled 52-10 by Wigan seven days prior, produced a clinical attacking display to topple the eight-time Super League Champions at Emerald Headingley.

Inspired by the former Rhinos duo of Danny McGuire and Matt Parcell, Tony Smith’s side scored three times in either half to head back across Yorkshire with two points.

Following the game, Keinhorst admitted that the side had spoken about needing the right attitude in the build-up to the contest, and says that they showed exactly what they are capable of.

“It was a good win,” he said. “Off the back of last week [against Wigan], we needed to turn things around and build on a decent performance.

“We did that in parts and we’re pleased with the result. It’s a funny old game. Attitude plays a massive part.

“We spoke about having the right attitude throughout the week and I think we did that, especially through defending our goal-line in the second half.”
