Bradford back rower Jay Pitts believes that the Bulls are a much stronger outfit with new signings on board for 2016.

The Bulls have strengthened their pack with additions such as Mitch Clark, Jonny Walker and Kurt Haggerty, and Pitts is expecting them to have an impact in the Championship.

“The additions who have come in have strengthened us massively,” he told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.

“There is a lot of quality in all positions and I think we’ve recruited really well. I think that can only benefit us and keep everyone on their toes.

“We had a few injuries last year and maybe we didn’t have as much depth as we needed. But we’ve definitely got it this year, so it can only bode well.”

Pitts is also relishing the competition for places that the new arrivals offer.

“We are all working hard and that’s how it should be,” he added.

“If you want to compete in Super League it’s going to bring out the best in players. We’ve got to compete in the Championship first and foremost to enable us to get up there.

“Everyone has to play well every week because if you don’t, then you won’t be playing.”
