Catalans forward Jason Baitieri and St Helens youngster Jack Ashworth have had their respective suspensions reduced.

Baitieri pleaded not guilty to a charge of dangerous contact but was found guilty. The tribunal downgraded to a Grade B charge from a Grade C.

The France international received a one-match ban and a £500 fine. He will miss Catalans’ home clash against Hull FC on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Saints forward Ashworth pleaded not guilty to a charge of recklessly striking with hand, arm or shoulder but was found guilty.

The tribunal downgraded to a Grade A offence from a Grade B and he has received no suspension and no fine was imposed.

Furthermore, Leeds forward Muizz Mustapha pleaded guilty and accepted the grading at Grade D for a dangerous throw. He received a four match ban and a £50 fine.

He only joined Newcastle on a month’s loan last week, but his loan could expire without him playing a single game for the League One club.
