Wales captain Jordan James was named as Player of the Tournament following his side’s 28-16 final win over Scotland.

Celtic Crusaders forward James, 29, led Wales to victory in the European Cup clash to give coach Iestyn Harris his first silverware as coach after just four games in charge.

He collected his award in the clubhouse after the game at Bridgend’s Brewery Field, which saw Wales come from behind to see off Steve McCormack’s Scotland.

A Mick Nanyn hat-trick gave the visiting Scots a 16-14 half-time lead but tries from Christiaan Roets, White and Rhys Williams sealed the Welsh victory.
