Brisbane have signed Papua New Guinea international James Segeyaro from Newtown Jets.

The 30-year-old enjoyed his first training session with the Broncos on Monday after a sleepless night in Brisbane due to being nervous about playing for his boyhood club.

The Broncos opted to sign the Papua New Guinea international after hooker Andrew McCullough was ruled out of action for six to eight weeks with an MCL injury.

Segeyaro commented: “I am really looking forward to being part of the Broncos’ club.

“The Broncos are a proud club and I am focussed on working hard now to gain an opportunity.

“I can’t wait to get out there on the training field with my new teammates.”
