James Segeyaro banned for drink-driving

Brisbane’s new signing James Segeyaro will serve a one-match club ban after his low-range drink-driving offence earlier this week.

The Papua New Guinea international will be unavailable for Brisbane’s next game in round 13 against Gold Coast.

He will complete a traffic offenders course and 40 hours of community service.

Segeyaro only recently joined the Broncos on a deal until the end of the season after he couldn’t feature for Cronulla due to their salary cap punishment.

His one-match ban comes after just two appearances for the club.
