South Sydney have signed centre James Roberts from Brisbane on a deal until the end of 2021.

The 26-year-old has been granted a realise from the remainder of his playing contract with the Broncos and has signed an agreement to join the Rabbitohs immediately for the next two-and-a-half seasons.

Roberts has played 131 NRL games since making his first-grade debut for Souths in 2011.

On returning to the Rabbitohs, Roberts said: “I’m really excited to be coming back to Souths and playing under Wayne [Bennett] again.
