Jamaica international Omari Caro has signed a new one-year deal with London Skolars.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Skolars from Bradford Bulls ahead of 2018, has put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at the New River Stadium until the end of the 2019 season.

Caro made his international debut for the Reggae Warriors in 2011 and has earned seven caps for his country.

Skolars’ head coach Jermaine Coleman commented: “We are very pleased that Omari has signed a new deal with the club ahead of the new campaign.

“He’s an experienced player and that experience is valuable to the team. Omari brings a real professional attitude to training.

“Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see a lot of him last season because he had a lot of injuries but hopefully this year he will be fully fit and we’ll get to see what he has to offer on the pitch. He has had a whole year to adapt to being a part-time player as opposed to a full-time player so I think this year we are going to reap the benefits of that.”

Caro added: “I’m very happy to have re-signed at Skolars for the 2019 season.

“Having sat down with Jermaine and spoke about the plans the club have moving forward, it’s something I want to be around for. We underperformed as a team last year and have addressed this so I’m looking forward to the positive reaction from the boys.”
