Whitehaven star Jake Moore has signed an improved deal with the club until the end of the 2022 season.

The back-rower enjoyed a stellar season with League 1 winners Whitehaven, scoring 11 tries and kicking 51 goals in 14 appearances.

Whitehaven coach Gary Charlton said: “I’m delighted  Jake has committed himself for the next three years.

“He’s still a young lad and there’s plenty more to come from him. He has had a good season and he’ll keep improving.”

Moore added: “It was quite an easy decision to make going off last year.

“I really enjoyed my rugby when I came back to the club, the coaching staff were brilliant and the lads are fantastic. It makes a difference when you are playing with a smile on your face.”
