Jackson Hastings to wear special Wigan shirt in support of Mose Masoe

Jackson Hastings is set to wear a special Wigan shirt in Friday’s game against Hull KR, in support of Mose Masoe.

Hastings will wear the cherry and white home jersey with a special printing of The Mose Masoe Foundation’s logo with the following text underneath: “For Mose. Thank you for inspiring us all.”

After the game at the DW Stadium, Hastings aims to raise money for charity by raffling the shirt off, with all proceeds going to The Mose Masoe Foundation.

“I just wanted to show my support,” Hastings said: “Mose is a true inspiration to not only myself and the rugby league community but society in general.

“The way he has handled himself in the hardest of times is beyond admirable and something that has inspired me throughout.

“I’m hoping I don’t only do Mose and his family justice on the playing field come Friday, but also make some much needed money with the auction to help to support them in what continues to be a massive battle ahead.

“As the shirt says, thank you Mose I appreciate your courage, bravery and positivity. You’re a champion.”

Tickets for the raffle will be available to buy on Raffall after the game on Friday. With tickets for this ten-day raffle also priced at £2, we hope that the price makes entry accessible to all rugby league fans to contribute as much or as little as they wish for this very worthy cause, with The Mose Masoe Foundation set up to support the Hull KR player and his family after the serious spinal injury he sustained last year, as well as being in place to support other rugby league players through difficult times.

A link to the raffle will be shared when it is live with no limit on how many tickets you can buy. A winner will be chosen at random and will be confirmed soon after the raffle closes. They will also have the chance to have the shirt signed by Jackson himself.
