Wigan have announced that forward Jack Wells has left the club.

The 23-year-old back-rower has made 18 appearances for the Warriors since making his first team debut back in 2016. Wells has also enjoyed loan spells at Swinton and Toronto.

On Friday, Wigan also confirmed that winger Joe Burgess had left the club, who has joined Salford on a three-year deal.

Wigan executive director Kris Radlinski said: “Everyone at Wigan Warriors would like to thank Joe and Jack for their efforts during their time at the club and wish them both well in the next stages of their careers.

“They have both represented the club with honour and leave as very popular guys. Our doors will always remain open for them should they ever wish to pay us a visit.”
