Oldham have handed a new one-year deal to forward Jack Spencer.

The 28-year-old has been at the Roughyeds since 2016, making 93 appearances for the club.

Oldham coach Matt Diskin said: “He’s the sort of forward every pack needs.

“He’s a hard-working, solid and quality player with a wealth of experience behind him.”

Spencer added: “It’s going to be tough in the Championship but we’ll have the squad to deal with it and to hold our own.

“Matt will be bringing new ideas and new methods into the club. It’s a fresh start and we’re all looking forward to it.”
