Following their defeat in the Challenge Cup last week, Keighley coach Paul March said there was a lot to fix up ahead of Sunday’s game.

“We were defending as individuals and not as a team, which showed by us conceding 38 points,” he said.

“We have worked a lot on that in training and are going a long way to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

“Sunday is a massive game for us, we set goals early on in pre-season regarding this competition. It’s a new competition and one which we want to do well in.

“To get to finals and win competitions you’ve got to play good sides and Swinton are one of them.

“We know a lot about them having played them in pre-season. It was a very close, tough game so we’re looking forward to it and hopefully can right some wrongs.”

Centre Daley Williams is doubtful with a back injury while Paul’s brother David has a hamstring problem.

Swinton had a massive win over London Skolars in their cup clash which coach John Duffy labelled “a really professional performance”.

Looking ahead to the Keighley tie he said: “It’s a massive challenge, they are going to be there or thereabouts this year and have danger all over the park. We’re going to have to really prepare well this week and go there with a good attitude.”
