More injury worries for Wigan

Wigan remain the only unbeaten team in Super League after they were held to a 16-all draw by Huddersfield.

But it was yet another costly afternoon for the Warriors, who lost Sean O’Loughlin (calf) and Jack Wells (ankle) to injury.

Back-rower Liam Farrell sat out the match with a calf strain, to join an ever-growing injury list that includes Sam Tomkins, Joe Burgess, Dominic Manfredi and Michael McIlorum, amongst others.

The two latest injuries came early on in the match, and in the end coach Shaun Wane was happy with a point.

He said: “It was a flat game, we did our best to get out of that. Coupled with the loss of Jack Wells and Lockers early on we’ll take the draw.

“Credit to them, they did well. They came with a game plan and they did it really well.”
