Injury crisis at Hull FC

Hull FC face an injury crisis and could be without up to six players when they face Catalans Dragons next weekend.

Coach Peter Gentle already has Richard Horne, Richard Whiting and Danny Tickle on the sidelines but victory over Leeds on Friday looks to have come at a cost as three more players took knocks.

Chris Green (bicep), Mark O’Meley (hamstring) and Tom Briscoe (ribs) all sustained injuries against Leeds and could sit out the trip to France.

Gentle said: “We are not sure the extent of Chris’ bicep tear, but early indications are it is not terrific. Mark has a hamstring injury and he’ll be a couple of weeks too.

Richard Whiting could have played against Leeds if we gave him injections, but we don’t want to do that at this stage of the season with the depth of our squad, so we’ll have to see how he goes this week.”

Hull will closely monitor the injuries to Green, O’Meley and Briscoe during the week.
