Inglis to surpass record?

test

Queenslander Greg Inglis can become a legend of Origin folklore in the upcoming series.

Inglis, 25, has scored 12 tries in Origin fixtures – the same as Maroons great Dale Shearer.

This means that if Inglis crosses the whitewash against New South Wales he will pull out on his own as the all-time State of Origin top try-scorer.

“The boys told me (I’d equalled the record) after the third game last year and I was over the moon,” said the South Sydney Rabbitohs star. “But I haven’t really thought about it much since.”

It only took Inglis 15 games to reach 12 tries compared to Shearer’s 26 and at his relatively young age if he does achieve the outright record he could go on to stretch it even further.
