Inglis cleared for Broncos training

Melbourne have cleared the path for Greg Inglis to commence training with Brisbane, despite not officially being a Broncos player.

Chief executive Bruno Cullen confirmed the news that Inglis will join the squad for pre-season training on Monday.

However, a dispute over a $113,000 legal bill means that the Australian test centre’s two-year contract with Brisbane has yet to be registered.

The wrangle has limited Inglis’ ability to take part in promotional activities for his new club.

Meanwhile another dispute between the NRL and the player managers’accreditation association has complicated matters yet further.

“It has been a difficult time for all parties involved in this matter and it certainly is not finished yet,” said Chief executive Bruno Cullen.

“However it is wonderful that Greg will be able to train with our squad from the start and we thank the Storm for their understanding.”
