The opening games in the first Czech Rugby League National Championship kick off on Sunday (7th June) in Olomouc, around 250 kilometres east of Prague.

The country’s three leading sides; Hanacky RLFC Praslavice, Pardubice Jets and Beroun Black Panthers will compete in a round-robin tournament at the TJ Lokomotiva Olomouc ground.

Hosts Praslavice begin as tournament favourites, with a squad drawn largely from a nearby Czech army base and featuring many of the Moravian players who beat Bohemia 48-32 in the recent ‘State of Origin’ clash.
