In numbers: Super League Round 14 attendances

A total of 38,689 spectators attended a fixture during Super League Round 14. 

That’s an average attendance of 6,448 across the six fixtures, a fall of 2,309 on the previous round.

Worst recorded weekend of attendances so far

Round 14 saw the lowest recorded average attendance of the season so far in Super League. Neither of the six fixtures managed an attendance of five figures.

Warrington recorded the highest attendance, with 8,278 at Halliwell Jones Stadium for their clash against Leeds. It was a disappointing evening for Daryl Powell’s side, who fell to a 40-4 defeat to the Rhinos. Rohan Smith’s men ran in eight tries.

The lowest attendance of the weekend came at Wakefield, with 4,426 witnessing their golden-point victory over Hull. The scores were tied at 18-all at the end of 80 minutes, with Trinity half-back Jacob Miller kicked the winning point on 84 minutes.

6,497 attended the Mend-A-Hose Jungle for Castleford’s clash with Wigan on Saturday afternoon. Despite a strong first half from the hosts, Wigan came back to claim a 32-12 victory live on Channel 4 following their Challenge Cup triumph at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Catalans recorded an attendance of 7,240 for their home clash with Huddersfield. Ian Watson’s side bounced back from their Challenge Cup defeat the week previous to claim a 22-14 victory in Perpignan.

Hull KR ran in seven tries to claim a 43-16 victory over Salford, with 7,023 in attendance. Full-back Lachlan Coote scored twice on the day, while converting all seven attempts and kicking a drop-goal.

Finally, Toulouse saw an attendance of 5,225 for their home clash with St Helens. It was Kristian Woolf’s side second trip to Stade Ernest-Wallon, and they avenged their earlier defeat of 22-20 with a 28-14 victory.

A total of 667,305 supporters have attended a top flight game of rugby league in 2022.
