Ian Watson wants to put right Hull KR embarrassment

Salford coach Ian Watson says their Magic Weekend meeting with Hull KR is a big one.

The Red Devils went down to a 32-18 home defeat to the Robins in the Challenge Cup recently, and suffered a heartbreaking late defeat at league leaders St Helens last week.

They came from 16-0 down to lead 30-16 before losing 32-30.

Watson said: “This is a big one for us. We kind of embarrassed ourselves against Hull KR in the cup.

“It’s not about revenge. It’s about us playing to our systems and showing people when we play our way, we are a good team.”

Salford have won four of their previous 11 games at Magic Weekends, but went down 26-12 against Catalans last season.
