Halifax forward Iain Morrison has called time on his journeyman career.

Morrison, 30, has endured constant injury problems in recent years leading to his decision to retire.

Halifax coach Karl Harrison paid tribute to the Scottish international on the club’s official website:

“He’s been a great professional and a big influence behind the scenes and we wish him all the best for the future.”

During his career, Morrison has played in Super League for the likes of London Broncos, Huddersfield and Hull KR. He has also played for Widnes and Featherstone at Championship level.
