I want the double – Shaun Wane

test

Wigan Warriors are flying at the moment but it is not enough for coach Shaun Wane – he wants to win every game.

Wane, 47, has been in charge for four months and for most of that period the Warriors have been in scintillating form. They are three points clear of second-placed Warrington and are on an 11-match winning run.

Wigan are now the bookmaker’s clear favourites to win Super League but Wane has been quoted as saying his side have still not peaked yet.

He told Love Rugby League: “The way I am I want to win every game from here to the end of the season and I want to finish top. I want to win the Challenge Cup and I want to win the Grand Final.

“Me, Paul Deacon and Iestyn Harris prepare the team 100% against everyone they come up against. So far it is paying off but you’re only one defeat from losing your job so I don’t get complacent or carried away.”

Next up for Wane’s side is a trip to France to face Catalans Dragons.
