Hunslet retain Coyle brothers

Hunslet have retained the services of brothers James and Thomas Coyle for the 2014 season.

James joined the club from Workington in June, while Thomas arrived from Leigh on loan in May, but failed to stop the Hawks from being relegated to Championship 1.

Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “We’re thrilled that both James and Thomas have agreed to stay at the club and both will be central figures as we look to bounce back at the first attempt.

“They both had offers elsewhere but they feel happy in their surroundings and it was noticeable that our form picked up mid season since their arrival, they both bring with them good kicking games, are very knowledgeable about the game, communicate and most importantly organise very well.”

Meanwhile, Hunslet have also revealed that former Leeds player Jimmy Watson is under contract for 2014, having signed an 18-month deal on his arrival in June.
