Hunslet pair released

Hunslet have released former Leeds academy product Danny Allan and centre Gareth Davies.

Allan, 22, joined the Hawks in the close season, while Davies was signed from amateur club Sharlston, following a trial spell with Featherstone.

Hawks Director of Rugby, Darren Williams, said: “We have mutually agreed to release both players with immediate effect, both have struggled to attend regular training sessions due to family and work commitments.”

Allan came through the ranks at Leeds before moving on to Featherstone in 2009, and spent time on loan at hometown club York and Doncaster.
