The Hunslet Hawks are asking their supporters to vote on a proposal for a potential rebrand of the club.

Hunslet Hawks General Manager Martin Flynn would like to ask supporters to vote on a proposal for the potential rebrand of the club.

The proposal is to to rename the club Hunslet R.L.F.C.

Hunslet general manager Martyn Flynn said: “Having spoken to a number of stakeholders there is a growing interest in dropping the name ‘Hawks’, renaming the club as ‘HUNSLET R.L.F.C’ and re-establishing the clubs core values of: Hard work, Loyalty, Honesty, Trust and Respect.”

“I would like to gauge your opinion, as loyal supporters of the club, before deciding on the name as we prepare to continue to develop our great club for 2017 and beyond.”

“If the outcome of the initial vote is in favour of a rebrand, then further supporter consultation will take place in terms of the design of the club crest and playing kits for 2017.”

Voting forms will be available on Friday night, and supporters attending Hunslet’s game against Doncaster will have the opportunity to cast their vote.

Supporters can also cast their vote online by clicking here, they will only be allowed one vote and all votes will be checked.

The vote will close at 5pm on Friday 12th August.
