Hunslet complete 2012 squad

Hunslet have announced that they have completed their squad for 2012 by signing David Tootill and Greg Nicholson on one-year deals.

25-year old Tootill joins the Hawks from Batley whilst Nicholson, 26, arrives at the South Leeds Stadium from Keighley.

Commenting on the signings, Hunslet Director of Rugby Darren Williams said “We see the signing of Dave as a real coup for the club he was one of Batley’s form forwards in 2009 and 2010 and brings with him a good offload game and the ability to break tackles.

He’s certainly a big unit and he had offers from other Championship clubs so to attract him to the club speaks volumes.”

On Nicholson Williams added “Greg joins us after 5 consistent years at the Cougars, he will strengthen the back row options, his work rate is second to none and he?s a very aggressive defender.

“That’s the squad complete now with 28 players on the books as well as 4 trialists currently training with us as competition and cover for every jersey has increased the intensity at every session.”
