Hull FC stand-off Richard Horne faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a foot injury in Saturday’s win against rivals Hull KR.

Horne, 30, left the Etihad Stadium on crutches and will not know the extent of his injury until he recieves a specialist’s verdict.

Director of rugby Shaun McRae said: “It seems to be a tendon problem in his foot and one which should be a short to medium-term injury, but we will only know more when he has seen the specialist.

“As in most cases when a player leaves the field as Richard did on Saturday, it is very unlikely that they will play the following week.”

Hull could use Aaron Heremaia as a temporary replacement for Horne, as they wait for new signing Jacob Miller‘s visa.
