Hull wait on Ellis injury news

Hull are still waiting for news on the back injury suffered by Gareth Ellis in England‘s win over the Exiles on Friday.

Ellis, 32, was helped off the field after a lengthy stoppage, following a tackle with Steve Menzies.

England coach Steve McNamara has assured fans that it isn’t as bad as first feared, but the full extent of the injury is still unknown.

Ellis, a close season signing from Wests Tigers, missed the first three months of the season after suffering a foot injury in the warm-up to the Super League opener against Leeds.

He has since made six appearances for Hull, only tasting defeat for the first time in the Black and White against Catalan last weekend.
