Hull signing receives visa clearance

Tongan international back Fetuli Talanoa has received visa clearance to complete his move to Hull.

Talanoa, 26, is due to arrive in East Yorkshire on Sunday, having previously played in the NRL for South Sydney Rabbitohs, scoring 40 tries in 95 appearances, and has signed a one-year deal, with an option for 2015.

Hull coach Lee Radford told the club’s official website: “Fetuli’s visa was granted over the weekend and it was just a case of waiting for it to land through his letter box and getting him on a flight as soon as we could.

“He’ll now land on Sunday so hopefully we can get him to the Bradford game to watch the lads before his first day at training next week.

“With Jason Crookes injured, we are a little stretched in the outside backs so it will be good to get him in there and amongst the boys in pre-season.”

Talanoa missed the recent World Cup, but was part of the Tonga team that took part in the 2008 tournament.
