Hull FC utility player Jordan Tansey and second row Danny Tickle have been suspended for two matches.

The RFL Disciplinary Committee found the pair guilty of illegal tackles in their side’s Super League victory over Harlequins last weekend.

Tansey was found guilty of A Grade C dangerous throw on Harlequins winger Jon Wells in the seventh minute at the KC Stadium on Friday night while Tickle was found guilty of the same offence for a tackle on Chris Melling in the 10th minute.

Both players were also fined £300.

As Tansey and Tickle were named in Hull FC’s squad for the Carnegie Floodlit 9 prior to the disciplinary hearing, they will be unavailable for Wednesday’s tournament in Leeds and the Super League fixture at Wigan Warriors on Friday September 4.

Hull have appealed against Tickle’s suspension, and results of a hearing are expected soon.
