Hull KR’s Allgood thriving on Easter adversity

Hull KR prop Mitch Allgood is relishing the challenge of playing two games in five days over Easter.

Allgood returned from suspension to feature prominently in the derby day win over Hull FC last Thursday, and now he is ready to answer the call to the colours again when Rovers welcome Huddersfield to east Hull on Monday.

“There is so much we can take out of the derby performance against Hull, especially from the second half,” the Australian told the Hull Daily Mail.

“Each week we approach games wanting to win.

“Every win takes us further up the table. I’m up for playing two games in five days.

“The first game is always a bit of a blow for the lungs. It helped that after two weeks on the sidelines it was the derby.

“Feeling the pressure always helps bring the best out of me.”
