Hull KR winger Kieran Dixon targets England place

Hull KR newcomer Kieran Dixon is determined to return to the kind of form which saw him called up by England Knights in 2013.

Indeed, the 22-year-old would like to go a level higher, and seal a spot in Steve McNamara’s full England squad.

An injury he sustained in 2013 while playing for the Knights against Samoa has hindered his progress on recent times, but he hopes to catch the eye again after undergoing a thorough preseason with Rovers.

“Any young player wants to play for his country,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“The ultimate goal was to pull on that England shirt as soon as I started playing rugby.

“It’s tough for me given I’ve been out injured for so long and I feel I have fallen under the radar.

“I need a good pre-season under my belt to help me get back to the form.”
