Hull Kingston Rovers have confirmed that the contract of Kiwi three-quarter Wayne Ulugia has been terminated.

The player had been investigated for a serious breach of club discipline, reportedly breaking a drinking ban.

A club statement from the Robins reads: “Hull Kingston Rovers can confirm the club has terminated the contract of first team player Wayne Ulugia with immediate effect due to repeated breaches of club discipline.

“The club will be making no further comment on this matter.”

Ulugia joined Rovers on an 18-month contract earlier this season. He scored one try in three games.

The 22-year-old was also sacked earlier this year by NRL club North Queensland Cowboys, for similar breaches of discipline.
