Hull KR outside-back Ben Crooks has been ruled out for six to eight weeks after suffering two fractured vertebrae in his back.

The 25-year-old suffered the back injury in Sunday’s 22-12 win over London Broncos in round two of Super League.

Crooks was taken to hospital in an ambulance with his neck in a brace after the game at the KCOM Craven Park, after attempting to carry on.

The former Hull FC, Castleford Tigers and Leigh Centurions man is set to miss Hull KR’s upcoming fixtures against Salford Red Devils, Castleford, Wakefield Trinity, Catalans Dragons, Huddersfield Giants and St Helens.

And if he is out for two months, he could also miss Hull KR’s Super League matches against Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC.
