Hull KR raid for Hall

Hull KR have raided city rivals Hull FC one again to sign centre Craig Hall.

Hall, 22, has signed a two-year deal at Craven Park after the Airlie Birds declined to offer him a new deal and follows the likes of Paul Cooke, Scott Wheeldon and Josh Hodgson to ditch the black and white for red and white in recent seasons.

He said: “I’m looking forward to it. I think I might have become a bit stale at FC so I’m looking forward to the new challenge.”

Hall has scored 39 tries in his three seasons with Hull, and picked up a Northern Rail Cup winners medal during a spell on loan at Widnes.

Rovers boss Justin Morgan said: “Craig will bring a lot of qualities to our squad. He’s still very young but has plenty of Super League experience. His tryscoring record at this level is excellent and he has a hunger for a fresh challenge.”

Hall joins Willie Mason in moving to Craven Park for next season, with Canterbury half-back Blake Green expected to join the club once his visa application is accepted.
