Hull KR prop Korbin Sims will miss Friday’s clash with Leeds under concussion protocols.

New signing Sims left the field after a blow to the head in last week’s 25-24 win over Huddersfield.

Centre Ben Crooks, who scored a Super League record try after just seven seconds against the Giants, is also doubtful with an ankle injury.

Coach Tony Smith said: “Korbin will be out this week. He’s taken too many head knocks in recent times.

“He’s not got any headaches, it’s just protocols we’ve got to follow for safety reasons and player welfare reasons.

“In himself he’s fine. He’s probably a little frustrated that’s he’s not able to play this week.

“Crooksy has trained. We’ll assess him later in the week.”
