Hull KR have loaned forwards Connor Moore and Daniel Okoro to League 1 side Hunslet for a two-week period.

The props, both 19, have both been given first-team numbers for the Robins in 2022. Moore wears 31 and Okoro wears 32.

Moore is from Leeds, and also came from a family of Hunslet fans. He is also a product of Leeds-based community side Milford, as is Okoro.

They will go straight into the squad for Hunslet’s Good Friday match against Keighley.

Head Coach Alan Kilshaw said: “We have been hit by injuries to senior players and it is evident we need to add some size to the team. We are really happy to have them involved at Hunslet, and I know how much they are itching to play.

“It is important we supplement the current playing group – particularly some of the younger lads as we continue to develop them into first grade players – with players of this quality.”

Halifax forward also joins Hunslet

As well as those two, the League One side have also announced the signing of Cole Oakley from Halifax Panthers on a two-week loan deal.

Oakley initially came through the ranks at Warrington. He made his Super League debut for the club in 2020 in a 20-18 defeat against Salford.

Since then, he has had loan spells at Newcastle and Rochdale, before signing permanently for the Panthers ahead of the 2022 season.

However, he has not been able to get a first-team place. Oakley has also played one game for Dewsbury in their 24-22 defeat against former club Newcastle.

Kilshaw added: “We are very thankful to Tony Smith, at Hull KR, and Simon Grix at Halifax for enabling the deals to go ahead.”
