Hull KR announce Mika signing

Hull KR have continued to recruit for the 2012 Super League campaign by announcing the capture of Constantine Mika on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Newcastle Knights where he worked with new Rovers’ Head Coach Craig Sandercock.

Sandercock stated: “Con played for the junior Kiwis and made his debut for the Newcastle Knights as a 19-year-old. He is still only 22-years-old and has his best footy in front of him.

“Although he is a back rower, he is a very skillful player and when you get tackled by him you certainly know about it. I’m sure the Rovers supporters will really appreciate what Con will bring to our team going forward.”

Mika is the Robins latest signing after having already snapped up Ryan O’Hara, Mickey Paea, Graeme Horne, Keal Carlile and Lincoln Withers for the 2012 season.

The 6ft, 16 and half stone New Zealander will link up with his team mates subject to the relevant visa and work permit paperwork being completed.
