Hull KR will partner with Dewsbury on dual-registration terms during the 2020 season.

The Championship club will help develop Hull KR’s young players who are on the brink of first-team selection.

This agreement will look to hand more opportunities for both Hull KR and Dewsbury players to get regular game-time.

Hull KR head of youth, John Bastian, said: “Aside from the first-team squad, dual-registration to the Championship is the next step for our players in terms of intensity.

“We have Under-16s, Under-18s and reserve teams in place too. And now, to dual-reg out to Dewsbury Rams, it will be great for the players and it will work well for both clubs.”

Dewsbury coach Lee Greenwood added: “I think the partnership with Hull KR will work really well and be of great benefit to both clubs.

“KR have a reserves team too, which will allow some of our squad members to get game time when necessary.”
