Hull get squad boost for Widnes trip

Lee Radford is hoping is to have some of Hull FC’s key players back for Sunday’s visit to Widnes.

The Hull boss has been without the likes of Danny Houghton and Gareth Ellis (above) in recent weeks, but he has confirmed the nine day gap between their last fixture against Warrington and the Widnes game has been beneficial.

“Danny will be back, Liam Watts will definitely be back, Gareth will hopefully be back in there and Josh Bowden, I’m told, will be back,” he told the club’s official website.

“We’ll see what blokes we’ve got available for the trip, but it’s good to have a good turnaround now.

“We’re going to be heading to Widnes expecting to get a result there and to have a longer run up to the game is really important for us.”
