Hull FC owner linked with Birmingham City takeover

Hull FC owner Adam Pearson has been linked with a move to buy soccer club Birmingham City, according to reports from Sky Sports and the Hull Daily Mail.

Pearson has a history of successful involvement in the round ball game, having been chairman at Derby County for a while, as well as playing a prominent role in Hull City’s climb into the Premier League.

He is believed to be part of a UK-based consortium, headed by Mike Farnan, who have entered the race to purchase City, known as the Blues.

Farnan and Pearson have worked together in the recent past, and they were reported to have been part of a consortium which attempted to buy Leeds United this year.

It is understood that the move will not affect Pearson’s involvement with Hull FC, which he apparently regards as an ongoing, long-term project.
